Description
310th FS F-16D 90-0778/LF ‘Heritage’ PVC Tail Patch
56th FW / 310th FS F-16D Fighting Falcon 90-0778/LF. This aircraft wears a heritage colour scheme in honour of its service during the first Gulf War in 1991.
This aircraft carried a kill marking from Operation ‘Desert Storm’ when it was operated by the 363rd TFW / 19th TFS.
On the 27th Dec 1992, pilot Capt. Gary “Nordo” North, flying 90-0778 callsign “BENJI 41”, shot down an Iraqi AF MiG-25 ‘Foxbat’. This marked the first MiG kill by a USAF F-16, and it was also the first deadly use of an AIM-120 AMRAAM missile.
The patch is limited to only 100 and comes with individually numbered cards that show the kill.
The tails are velcro backed and measure 120mm in width.
