March 2023 marked the 50th anniversary of the first flight of the Meteorological Research Flight’s (MRF) Hercules W.2 XV208 affectionately known as “Snoopy” due to its large instrumentation probe mounted on the nose.
A unique and highly capable research platform, “Snoopy” was a popular aircraft amongst enthusiasts and its appearance at airshows was always welcomed.
The reverse of the coin celebrates some of the varied aircraft operated by the MRF over the years.
Limited to just 50 pieces. The coin measures 2.50″ inches and comes in a suitable marked presentation box.
