Falklands 40th Anniversary Coin Series – Chinook HC.1
One of six coins in our series commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the Falklands conflict. 18 Sqn Chinook HC.1 ZA718/BN. The legendary ‘Survivor’. Chinook Bravo November was the only surviving Chinook from the SS Atlantic Conveyor which was hit by two Exocet missiles and subsequently sunk. Bravo November has had a distinguished career within the Royal Air Force serving in every conflict of the last 30 years and has seen four of its pilots awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for actions whilst at the controls of the aircraft. It is now preserved and on display at the RAF Museum Cosford.
Measuring 2.00″ in diameter and 4mm thick , the coins come in capsules as standard.
