The Royal Air Force is retiring the Tornado GR4 after over 40 years of service across all variants. The hugely popular swing-wing aircraft became a favourite with photographers who climbed the mountains in South Wales to catch the “Tonka” at low level screaming through the “Mach Loop.”

‘Farewell to the Mighty Fin’ depicts a well worn and tired Tornado GR4 post its final flight. In trademark Military Prints UK style, there’s added intrigue with the aircrew stood next to the ladder sharing a handshake, no doubt reminiscing about their years flying in the Tornado. As can be seen on the commemorative camouflage Tornado, all of the units and squadrons that have operated the Tornado are represented across the bottom of the print.
