July proved to be the busiest month for Club Coins UK (CCUK) to date.

The show season began with CCUK having a pitch at both the Manchester Airport Transport Festival and the AVRO Air Day at Woodford. Whilst these shows are much smaller than the likes of the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT), they give us chance to meet local customers who have been buying from us since the very beginning of CCUK. It’s always great to see familiar faces and show them the new products we have.

By far the largest show we attended was RIAT which is held at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire and is regarded as the World’s largest air show with around 180,000 people attending over three days. In the build up to the air show we ran a competition where one lucky winner received two tickets to the Saturday show along with a souvenir programme, a prize worth over £120.

On the Saturday we had some very special guests visit our stall in the form of former Red Arrows team leaders Brian Hoskins and Dickie Duckett, along with their wives. Brian and Dickie have both signed our popular limited edition Red Arrows coin sets. CCUK donated £500.00 from the proceeds of the Red Arrows coin sets to The Jon Egging Trust which was set up by the wife of Jon Egging who died whilst displaying with the Red Arrows in 2011.

We were also visited by former Yellowjacks pilot and founder Red Arrows member, Henry Prince AFC along with former Norwegian Starfighter pilots, RAAF crew members and some of our trade customers.

Lucky punters who managed to get hold of one of our limited edition RIAT patches were able to enter a competition to win their choice of a coin from the RAF100 series. Entrants had to take a photo of the patch at the show ground, using the hashtag #RIAT, with the best photo from each day being chosen in the evening by the CCUK team. Thank you to all who participated and well done to the winners!
