Check Gear were approached by a small group of female aircrew in the RAF who wanted a patch to remind people the importance of females in aviation. The significance of 1952 is when the RAF first recognised females pilots when they awarded Pilot Officer Jean Lennox Bird and RAF Pilot’s Flying badge. No air power without girl power!
